GENERAL

Students/clients are kindly requested to provide and carry their original Learner Permit/Overseas Licence while participating in driving lessons.

Before the start of each driving lesson, the student must present the appropriate Learner Permit or other licenses, and it is essential to keep it with them throughout the learning/teaching process.

To ensure accurate records, students/clients should furnish their complete address, contact mobile number, and email ID to the booking office or Instructors.

The lesson time will commence once the student/client is inside the car or after 5 minutes from the instructor's arrival.

If the student is taking any medication (prescribed or not) that might affect their driving, it is their responsibility to inform the school or the instructor. During the driving lesson, all mobile phones should be turned off or set to silent mode.

If there are any factors that might hinder the student's learning ability, such as difficulties in reading, writing, or understanding English, colour blindness, sight, or hearing impairment, they must inform the school or instructor at the earliest.

Assessment of skills will vary based on the student's experience level and depth of learning. The instructor will explain the assessment methods, which will be valid, reliable, fair, and flexible. These assessments may include observation, questions and answers, and assignments to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

To build confidence in their driving skills and prepare for the driving test, students will be assessed under some nervous conditions. This approach aims to help them succeed in their driving test confidently.

The Driving School/Instructor accepts various payment methods, including cash, bank transfer, Credit/Debit Card, or Gift Vouchers from DriveTime Academy. Payments should be made before the commencement of the driving lesson or driving test.

For cash payments made on the same day as the lesson, students are responsible for providing the exact amount before the lesson begins. However, this is only applicable for same-day bookings. For future bookings, payments must be made within 24 hours from the booking time; otherwise, the software will automatically cancel the booking.

Students are responsible for submitting all required documents to VicRoads before the test. If the test is not conducted due to the student's mistake or other reasons, the driving instructor's driving test charges are non-refundable. If the student has not paid the amount, they must pay the driving instructor charges in full.

RESCHEDULE / CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY

DriveTime Academy instructors retains the right to decline bookings or future appointments from students exhibiting antisocial behavior before or during the lesson.

If, in the instructor's judgment, the learner displays signs that could potentially impede or endanger the session, the instructor reserves the right to immediately terminate the lesson.

Signs indicating such hindrance or danger may encompass drowsiness, agitation, intoxication, substance usage, reduced alertness, aggression, use of abusive language, impaired judgment, or loss of coordination.

In the event that session termination becomes necessary, any fees paid will be non-refundable.

You may reschedule or cancel a lesson by providing at least 24 hours notice prior to commencement of scheduled lesson. You must call or text DriveTime Academy to reschedule or cancel a lesson at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time.

If you do not provide notice of at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time for your lesson you will be charged the full price of the lesson.

DriveTime Academy reserves the right to reschedule a lesson by providing you with reasonable notice by telephone, SMS or email.

In the event of arriving late for a lesson, the full lesson fee will be charged. Due to scheduling constraints for other lessons, your instructor may only be able to provide the remaining time of your scheduled lesson. Regrettably, no refund or credit will be offered in such cases.
